At The John Bull Center in Naperville, Illinois, we strive to provide the highest quality of plastic surgery and cosmetic treatments in the Chicago area. But even if you don’t feel plastic surgery is for you, we also offer non-surgical skin care solutions such as Radiesse®, an injectable gel that effectively treats facial wrinkles and folds for smoother, more vibrant skin.
What is Radiesse®?
FDA-approved and widely used in the United States, Radiesse® is comprised of calcium hydroxylapatite in gel form that is injected with a fine needle underneath the skin of the area being treated. Radiesse® then goes to work by adding temporary volume to that area of skin, smoothing out the wrinkles and folds and naturally stimulating your skin’s own collagen production over time.
Contact us at The John Bull Center today if you’re ready to begin your journey to smoother, revitalized skin. With 11 years of experience in plastic surgery and cosmetic treatment, Dr.John Bull and his team of skilled medical professionals provide a comfortable, relaxing environment and customize each patient’s treatment for his or her own individual, specific needs.
What Does Radiesse® Treat?
Radiesse® injections treat multiple areas on the face, including:
- Dynamic wrinkles created by facial expressions as well as static wrinkles from loss of collagen and elastin during the aging process of the skin
- Smile and “marionette” lines around the mouth
- Lines at the corners of the mouth
- Pre-jowl folds
- Chin wrinkles
Here at The John Bull Center, Dr. Bull and his medical team aim to provide quality service by encouraging open, relaxed discussion about what it is that patients truly want from their skin and treatments. Your own feedback and input will be used to create and direct your personalized skin treatment.
Radiesse® for Hand Augmentation
In addition to treating the visible signs of aging, Radiesse® is also the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that can be used to add volume to the hands. The natural aging process can lead to a loss of shape in the hands as well as the face, resulting in hands that appear wrinkled or bony.
When injected underneath the skin, the calcium hydroxylapatite adds immediate volume to the tops of the hands while also stimulating collagen to continue improving the skin over time. Radiesse® produces results that are smooth and natural-looking in the hands, eliminating the visible signs of aging.
How Long Does a Radiesse® Injection Last?
While the results of a Radiesse® injection are often seen for up to a year in patients, repeated treatments are encouraged for continued results. After that time, wrinkles will begin to reappear in the treated areas, although with continued treatment patients have reported their wrinkles being less severe over time.
Radiesse® has minimal side effects that are similar to other cosmetic injectables:
If experienced, these side effects typically only last a short amount of time. Doctor Bull and his medical team will be available for you throughout the recovery process to monitor your progress.
At The John Bull Center, we make it a priority to make patients feel like family. Contact us today to set up a consultation and get on your way back to having skin that makes you proud. Your completely individualized, customized treatment plan is waiting for you.
